By the end of the day, it was preparing to rain. Indeed, a bit of on and off preceeded the
Closing Ceremonies. However, the rains were not heavy, just somewhat inconvenient. Nothing, however,
dampened the spirits of the several pipe bands that marched in to regale us.
The pipers and drummers marched down to the end of the field, turned around, and marched back. It
looks like confusion in the shot below, but indeed this was all well-orchestrated.

Below, the 79th New York Cameron Highlanders provides a closing
5-gun salute. If you look closely, it is raining. If you can't tell, take the word from those
umbrella-bearers in the background. One assumes that bagpipes bear up well under the duress of
the elements.
